Yan Farm Health: Young Farmers Travel Grant
At Yan Farm Health, we believe it is important to keep learning, exploring new ideas and improving the way we work. As a team, many of us have been fortunate to visit farms, agricultural businesses and veterinary practices across the UK and around the world, and those experiences have been some of the most valuable of our careers.
Leave your farm once a day
We would like to support young people in our farming and rural community who also want to broaden their experience and understanding of agriculture and wish to see for themselves how other farms across the UK or around the world operate.
Your village every week
We are offering a grant of up to £500 which can be used by an individual or small group (up to 4) to help fund the costs of travel. We can also offer support with ideas for where to visit and help planning the trip, if required.
Your county every month
If you are 18 to 28 years old and a member of one of the young farmers clubs in the area below*, we would like to hear from you with your proposal. Tell us where you would like to visit, who you would like to travel with, and why the trip would benefit you and your future in agriculture.
And the U.K. once a year
Applications can be made by video (up to 3 minutes long) or in writing (no more than 500 words)**
Applications accepted all year round and should be submitted to office@yanfarmhealth.co.uk, funding is subject to annual availability . Travel must be undertaken within 12 months of application.
*Young Farmers Members from the local proximity to Yan farm Health.
