About Us
Yan Farm Health is a locally owned farm specific veterinary business established by Andrew Crutchley and Kirsty Howson in February 2021.
We are dedicated to providing a complete veterinary service to commercial farms across Cumbria, North Lancashire and North Yorkshire. This service will be provided by experienced farm vets who can give you support for every aspect of managing your livestock.
In a break with traditional veterinary practice, our experienced vets work closely with a smaller number of farms per vet. This allows us to understand your farm, your system, and your herd.
Our model allows our vets time to study the latest research and evidence which, when combined with our experience, ensures our advice is practical, evidence based, and most importantly bespoke to you.

24 hours, 365 days a year
As part of our comprehensive service we provide a 24-hour, 365-day emergency service. In short, if you’re up chances are one of us is too.
When the office is closed our phone lines are diverted straight to an experienced vet who knows you and your farm. No call centres, no unnecessary questions, no bull.

We appreciate how important the relationships you build with your vet and all the veterinary support staff are. We will endeavour to support these relationships by ensuring that Yan Farm Health is rooted in the local community and is a positive place to work.
