ACTION JOHNES

The National Johne’s Management Plan (NJMP) was developed by the Action Group on Johne’s as an approach to be taken by the dairy industry of Great Britain to control and reduce the incidence of Johne’s disease in the dairy herd. More information can be found on their website.

BVD FREE

BVDFree England is a voluntary industry-led scheme, working to eliminate Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) from all cattle in England by 2022. The key to success is to identify and remove all animals persistently infected (PI) with the BVD virus from the English cattle herd.

COWS is a voluntary initiative aiming to provide the best available, evidence-based information to the beef and dairy cattle industries in relation to the sustainable control of both internal and external parasites.

NADIS

The National Animal Disease Information Service are a team of vets across the UK working closely with vets in practice and RAMAs in industry to help them with disease prevention. Resources include an A-Z of diseases and a parasite forecasting tool.
